This notice applies to mys.lauttainfo.com. The site is run by Alberto R., who decides how any personal data is used; he is based in Barcelona, Spain, and can be reached by email at [email protected] or by post at Travessera de Gràcia 20, 08024. Using the guide requires nothing from you: there is no registration, no form, no newsletter and no comment section, and no names, identity card numbers, addresses or payment details are ever collected.
The site is written for readers in Malaysia, and it follows the principles of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709): data is used only for a stated purpose, kept no longer than needed, protected, and open to access and correction. The publisher is based in the EU, so the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) sets the rules for processing as well.
Google AdSense supplies the advertising. To display ads, stop the same ad repeating and measure results, Google relies on cookies or comparable identifiers, and it personalises ads only if you allow it. The choice is yours: the consent banner lets you accept or decline, you can change your mind later in the cookie settings of your browser, and adssettings.google.com turns personalised advertising off. Any visitor counting added in future would use a self-hosted Umami server, which keeps totals only and stores nothing on your device.
Each request to the site also leaves a short record on our host and on Cloudflare, the network that delivers the pages: IP address, browser, timestamp and page asked for. It is needed for security and to keep the service running, it is deleted once it is no longer useful for that, and nobody uses it to build profiles or to get in touch with you.
You can ask to see the personal data held about you, to correct it, to withdraw consent, to limit or object to its use, to have it deleted and to receive it in a portable form. Send the request to [email protected]; you will get an answer within 21 days. Google and Cloudflare may process data outside Malaysia and the European Union under the contractual safeguards they publish.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Department (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi, pdp.gov.my) or to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es). Any update to this notice will appear on this page.
