About Lauttainfo Malaysia

Lauttainfo Malaysia, at mys.lauttainfo.com, is an independent guide to ferry and boat routes in Malaysia, from island ferries on the coast to international crossings from Johor. Each page covers a single route: published departures, fares in ringgit and any charges paid on top, both jetties, and what to arrange before you go. It is part of lauttainfo.com, a family of ferry guides with one site per country.

Departures and fares are taken from official sources only: the operator's website, counter notices or public booking system, and the Marine Department (Jabatan Laut), port authorities or park authorities where they publish the figure. Travel agents, resellers and forums help us find where to look, but are never the source of a number. Every time and fare is read in two independent places and a dated copy of the source is kept.

If official sources disagree, or a charge is mentioned without an amount, the figure is left out and the page explains why. Each table carries the period it covers and the date it was checked, and routes are checked again before that period runs out. Where the season or the weather changes a service, the page follows the dates the operator has announced and nothing else.

We sell no tickets, take no bookings and receive no money from operators, ports or state agencies. Advertising on the site comes from Google AdSense and has no say in what a page contains.

Seen a change at a jetty, or a timetable board that no longer matches the page? Email [email protected] and name the route; a photo of the counter notice or a link to the operator's announcement makes the check quicker. The guide is published from Spain by Alberto R. (Travessera de Gràcia 20, Barcelona).
